Cookies
updated: 5 September 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We use them sparingly and act under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
What we set now
| Cookie | Purpose | Life | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language choice | Remembers which language you read in | 1 year | not required — strictly necessary |
| Form protection | Stops a form being submitted in your name from another site | session | not required — strictly necessary |
What we do not set
At launch we use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, no third-party visitor counters, and no social network buttons that track the reader.
If that changes
Before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary we will ask for your consent in a separate notice where refusing is as easy as accepting. Until you consent, such cookies are not set. You will be able to withdraw consent at any time through a link in the site footer.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may then work less well — you may have to choose your language on every visit, for instance.
