Classifieds rules

The ONLYWAY NEWS classifieds board is free. It exists so that entrepreneurs and professionals can find each other. These rules bind everyone who posts.

How posting works

We do not quietly spike advertisements. Where a text conflicts with the law or with these rules, we bring it into line and publish it with the note: "Your advertisement has been edited to comply with the law." The author is notified and may ask us to withdraw the listing instead of editing it.

What may not be posted

• Financial offers — investments, loans, cryptocurrency, insurance — without FCA authorisation. An invitation to invest issued by an unauthorised person breaches section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
• Medicines and medical services in breach of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012: prescription-only medicines may not be advertised at all.
• Work the advertiser has no right to offer, and advertisements that discriminate on race, sex, age, religion, disability or another protected characteristic (Equality Act 2010).
• Housing on discriminatory terms.
• Immigration advice services without OISC registration or another lawful basis.
• Weapons, drugs, forged documents, stolen or counterfeit goods, tobacco and alcohol without the right to trade in them.
• Other people's personal data without their consent.
• Defamatory statements about people or companies.
• Adult content, intimate personal ads and escort services.
• Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes and "pay upfront to work" offers.

What must be stated

• If you act as a business, the advertisement must make that clear (Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024).
• The price in full, including mandatory fees, or an honest "price on request".
• Genuine contact details.
• For regulated services, the licence or registration number.

Checking and removal

We may refuse, edit or remove an advertisement that breaks the law or these rules. We tell the author of a refusal and why. You can challenge a decision by writing to info@onlyway.news; the procedure is in Complaints procedure.

The advertiser's responsibility

The author of an advertisement is responsible for its content, for the lawfulness of the offer and for holding any permission needed. By posting, you confirm you are entitled to do so and permit us to publish the text on the site in Russian and English.

Transactions

We take no part in transactions between users, we do not check anyone's solvency and we are not an intermediary. Be careful with upfront payments to strangers and check a company in the register — our free checks are there for that.
