Central bank rates
What the pound is worth in roubles, hryvnia, tenge, drams, lari and the other currencies of the region — and a direct route to the central bank you need: the Bank of Russia, the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the NBU, the Central Bank of Armenia and the rest. That is where the official rate, the policy rate and the transfer rules live.
On the left, the official rate the central bank itself publishes and the date it was set. On the right, the market rate and how far it sits from the official one — which shows where a bank is holding its currency and where it has let go. Only the official rate counts for a transaction. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are in the euro area and share a rate set by the ECB. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan publish no open data on the pound.
