Complaints procedure
updated: 5 September 2026
We consider complaints about our own material and about advertisements posted on the board. The procedure is the same for everyone.
How to complain
Write to info@onlyway.news and tell us:
- the link to the article or advertisement;
- which part you object to (quote it if you can);
- what the problem is — inaccuracy, an infringement of your rights, unlawful content;
- what supports your account;
- how to reach you.
Timescales
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Acknowledgement | 1 working day |
| Substantive response | within 7 working days |
| Report of manifestly unlawful content | considered immediately; content may be hidden while we check |
| Review of a decision at your request | within 14 working days |
Possible outcomes
- Correction of the text, with a note of what was changed and when.
- Publication of your response or clarification.
- Removal of the article or advertisement.
- A reasoned refusal explaining why.
Unlawful content
If you believe material or an advertisement breaks the law, say so directly and identify the provision. We act under the Online Safety Act 2023 and regulation 19 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002: on receiving a notice with sufficient detail we consider it expeditiously and, where it is made out, remove or disable access to the content.
Personal data
Requests about personal data — access, rectification, erasure — are handled as described in Privacy. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If you disagree with our decision
Say so by reply and a different member of the newsroom will review it. Coming to us does not limit your right to go to court or to a regulator.
