Tickets for London's New Year's Eve fireworks go on sale at midday on Friday 23 October 2026. Ticketmaster is the only seller, nobody gets into a viewing area without a ticket — children included — and Londoners pay £20 less per ticket.

How much does a ticket cost?

It depends on the area. Category A — Blue, Pink and White — is £55 standard and £35 for Londoners. Category B — Red, Green and Orange — is £40 and £20. Prices include VAT; a Ticketmaster booking fee is added on top. They are unchanged from last year.

There is a limit of four tickets per purchaser. In a larger group, another adult can buy up to four more.

How do you get the Londoner discount?

Residency is checked against the billing address on the card used to pay. There is no separate application, but proof of address may be requested on the night, so bring a document showing a London address.

What is the difference between the viewing areas?

Blue is on the north bank with a head-on view of the London Eye, entered through Gates 1 or 2. Red is also north bank but side-on, Gates 4 and 5. Pink is the south bank at Waterloo Bridge, side view, Gate 6. Green is the south bank behind the Eye, Gate 7. White is the south bank at Westminster Bridge, side view, Gate 8. Orange is the south bank accessible area with a partial side view, Gate 9.

One rule matters above the rest: you cannot move between areas during the evening. A group has to book the same area.

What is in the accessible area?

Orange is the only area with seating, and you may bring fold-up seating. It has a hearing loop, a first aid point and a Changing Places toilet. The vehicle drop-off point is about 700m away and public transport about 2km. The other areas have no seating, no hearing loops and no dedicated accessibility platforms, with public transport up to 2km away.

What time does it start and finish?

The event starts at 8:00pm on Thursday 31 December 2026 and ends at 12:30am on Friday 1 January 2027. Viewing areas are open for entry from 8:00pm to 10:30pm; arrive after 10:30pm and you will not get in.

What should you bring, and can you get a refund?

The main ticket buyer may be asked for photo ID matching the name on the tickets: a passport or photo driving licence, or a good-quality photocopy of either. Stewards decide whether other photo ID is accepted.

Refunds are not available. Tickets can be resold at face value through Ticketmaster's Fan-to-Fan Resale, or given as a gift, but the name must be changed before the event.

How do you get there, and which bridges are closed?

Vehicle access is restricted from 2:00pm on 31 December until around 6:00am on 1 January, and contingency plans allow closures from 12:00pm in the yellow and red areas. Westminster, Golden Jubilee, Lambeth, Blackfriars and Waterloo bridges cannot be used before or after the event. Plan the route in advance with the TfL journey planner.

The event is not recommended for young children, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. A second, smaller batch of tickets will go on sale later; the date has not been announced.
