London listings: where Russian-speakers can go — theatre, concerts, stand-up and exhibitions

A Russian-speaker in London has somewhere to go almost every evening: Russian-language plays, touring musicians and stand-up comics, exhibitions and events for children. We have gathered the nearest events and the regular venues our readers go to — with dates, places and links. We update this section, so check back often.

London is Europe’s cultural capital, and its Russian-speaking scene is alive: from classical concerts in famous halls to intimate plays by independent companies and stand-up nights. Dates and venues can change — always confirm on the venue’s site or a listings aggregator before you go.

Coming up

Theatre. Turgenev’s “A Month in the Country” — until 3 October 2026, Donmar Warehouse (41 Earlham Street, Covent Garden). An English staging of the Russian classic at one of London’s best studio theatres.

Classical. The Pavel Kushnir Scholarship concert — 16 September 2026, 7pm, Annunciation Church (Marble Arch). A charity project in the pianist’s memory; Beethoven’s First Symphony “inside the orchestra”.

Classical. Desyatnikov and Stravinsky — 18 September 2026, 7pm, Wigmore Hall. Russian composers in the city’s leading chamber-music hall.

Art. Luminiscence — a light-and-sound show until 26 September 2026, Westminster Cathedral. An immersive programme on Victoria Street.

Stand-up. Russian-language stand-up stars tour London regularly — watch for “Russian Stand Up Comedy Stars” announcements and ticket sales on Ticketmaster and Dice.

Regular venues

Pushkin House (Bloomsbury, 5A Bloomsbury Square) — London’s oldest independent Russian cultural centre: exhibitions, talks, concerts, film screenings and children’s events, with a constantly updated programme.

Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall host Russian-speaking musicians and Russian repertoire regularly. Donmar Warehouse and West End houses cover drama, including Russian classics.

Independent Russian-language companies (Theatre ART-VIC and others) stage plays in Russian across the city — the easiest way to catch their dates is via the aggregators below.

Buy tickets from the venue box office, or via Ticketmaster, Dice, Eventbrite, TodayTix (the last is handy for discounted theatre).
