A London concert cancelled back in March is still on sale for 4 October — and the full Russian-language listings for October
Scala has carried a cancelled status for this show since 5 March, yet several ticket sites are still selling it for Sunday 4 October. Here is how to check an event before you pay, plus everything Russian-language and Russian-repertoire in October: Verka Serduchka at indigo at The O2, Kirill Richter at St Pancras, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich at the Royal Festival Hall, and The Cherry Orchard with Kristin Scott Thomas.
The Kaspiyskiy Gruz concert still being sold in London for Sunday 4 October is not happening. The venue's own listing calls the event "Kaspiyskiy Gruz – Cancelled", the price field reads "Cancelled", and the status line says it was cancelled and last updated on 5 March 2026. Several ticket resellers aimed at Russian-speaking audiences are nevertheless still selling it for 4 October.
What happened to the Kaspiyskiy Gruz concert in London?
Scala on Pentonville Road states it plainly on its event page: due to circumstances beyond the artist's control the show has been cancelled, and refunds should be claimed from the point of purchase. The date is still shown — Sunday 4 October 2026, doors 19:00 — but the word Cancelled sits beside it everywhere.

Ready in 3 days, £219 instead of £438.Advertise hereThe problem is that third-party ticket sites still list the show as live. A buyer pays, travels to the venue and finds the doors shut, then has to chase a refund from the reseller rather than the venue.
How do you avoid buying a ticket to a cancelled show?
One rule: before you pay, open the venue's own website and find the event there. Not an aggregator, not a mailing list, not a social media post — the venue itself, be it Scala, Brixton Jamm, indigo at The O2 or the Barbican. If the event is missing, or marked Cancelled, Postponed or Sold, do not buy, whatever the reseller's price.
Second: pay by card. If an event is cancelled, a UK bank must consider a chargeback claim, and for anything over £100 paid by credit card, section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act makes the card issuer jointly liable with the seller. Money sent by bank transfer to a private individual, or through a messenger app, is not recoverable.
