Soviet Underground: when is the next gig? We checked the venue listings

The London band have no new dates: their Songkick profile shows them off tour, and they do not appear in the next twenty-seven shows at The Victoria in Dalston. Their last two nights were on 12 and 13 September in London and Brighton. Here is where the first new date will appear, how to hear about it the same day, and why you should search for the night as well as the band.

We checked when London band Soviet Underground play next, and the honest answer is that no new dates have been announced — not for October, not for the rest of the year. Here is where the first date will appear, how to hear about it the same day, and what their recent shows were.

When is the next Soviet Underground gig?

There are no announced shows. The band's official Songkick profile states that no concerts are scheduled for 2026 and lists them as off tour. Bandcamp carries no dates either.

We also checked the listings at The Victoria in Dalston, the venue they play most often. Soviet Underground do not appear in the venue's next twenty-seven shows: 3 October is HMS Morris, 4 October Sharktank, 8 October Febueder, 14 October James Crowley, 15 October Max Syedtollan. Venues publish at least a month ahead, so October is settled.

Where did they last play?

Their last two shows fell on the same September weekend. On Saturday 12 September they played The Victoria, 451 Queensbridge Road, London E8 3AS, with Batsch and Sonia Shahid. The next day, Sunday 13 September, came "Sounds of Soviet Underground" at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton, 11–12 Queens Road, with The Beyene Affair and Joanna and the Dropouts.

One detail worth knowing: "Sounds of Soviet Underground" is not simply a gig but a night the band curates themselves, inviting other acts. Search for the night as well as the band name.

How often do they play, and where will the next date appear?

Judging by their archive of past shows, a night comes round roughly every two to three months, almost always at The Victoria in Dalston, with occasional trips south and west to Brighton and Bristol. On that rhythm the next one would fall in late autumn or early winter — but that is our reading of the pattern, not an announcement.

New dates surface first in the venue's own listings and on DICE, where tickets for their previous nights were sold. The band's own pages are Bandcamp, SoundCloud and YouTube.

How do you avoid missing the announcement?

The most reliable free option is a Songkick tracking alert on the artist page: the email arrives the day a date goes up. Nineteen people currently track them there.

The second is our newsletter — they go into our listings first, and we will write as soon as a date appears.

What to listen to in the meantime

Soviet Underground are a Russian-language band from London playing rock inspired by the Soviet "red wave" of the 1980s. Their recordings are on Bandcamp and SoundCloud, videos on YouTube. More about the band and how their nights work is in our earlier piece, still the most-read article of the week.

And while there is no gig, there is plenty else on: the full Russian-language October listings and where to go across Britain this weekend.
